Playsets
PLAYSET INSTALLATION CHECKLIST
Kids Gotta Play offers professional installation for any swing set purchased at either showroom or online within a 50 mile radius.
Please take some time to review the following important information to prepare for the arrival of your swing set.
- Select a location for the swing set PRIOR to the arrival of our installation crew.
We will make every effort to install your playset in the location you have selected, however there are limits. Please consult with your salesperson if you have any concerns with the space or slope of your yard.
- Plan to be present at the beginning of the installation
You will need to confirm the installation location in your yard and position of features on the playset. If you have a very specific location, angle, or position of features in mind, please be available throughout the installation to guide our crew during assembly. You have made an important investment, we want to make sure we get it right.
- Plan to be present at the end of the installation
At this time, you will be able to confirm that all the features are included and located where you desire, confirm that you are satisfied with the overall installation, and complete payment if applicable.
PLEASE NOTE: Additional charges will apply if you are not present and request that we return to re-postion your set.
- Ensure that you have sufficient space
Measure your space to ensure that you have sufficient space for your specific playset with all features including a safety zone.
- Select a LEVEL area or make prior arrangements
Our square based fort playsets MUST have a LEVEL AREA. Our angle-based castle models have options for extended parts that can work for un-level surfaces. It is the customers responsibility to either have a level area or have made prior arrangements for extended parts. There are additional costs for extended parts and they are not available on all models.
If needed, we can dig in the playset a maximum of 6 inches. Dig limits are set dependent.
Kids Gotta Play does NOT have the equipment or expertise for grading a yard.
How to Measure Slope
Tools needed: Level, Ruler or Yardstick and Tape Measure
1.
Set Tape Measure on the ground at the high spot where the playset will contact the ground.
2.
Extend Tape Measure to the low point where playset will contact the ground.
3.
At the low point, place the Level on top of Tape Measure and adjust until bubble shows it’s level.
4.
Then use the Ruler to measure distance from the raised end of the Tape Measure to the ground.
5.
If more than 6”, extended parts will be needed for an Angle-based model. A Square-base model will not work.
Please complete the following form at least a week prior to your playset installation date.
SCHEDULING FOR PLAYSET INSTALL
Your order will indicate when your playset will be available. We will do everything within our capabilities to meet a requested installation date, however, scheduling is subject to weather delays and occasional inventory delays.
- Scheduling is done on a weekly basis with priority determined by order date and order #.
- At the end of each week, we will begin to schedule installations for the following week. We will call you and confirm the installation date along with an approximate window of time.
When you receive our call to confirm an installation date, be prepared to confirm the following:
- Date of installation & approximate window of time (within a 3 hr window).
- The site you have selected in your yard is ready for installation.
- Payment method for balance due, if applicable.
If weather conditions or any other situation arises that may cause our installers to be unable to build your playset on your confirmed date, you will be notified and then contacted to reschedule for the FOLLOWING WEEK! If any other situation should arise that would cause us to be unable to install your playset, please contact Kids Gotta Play immediately during showroom hours at 248.486.5300 or after hours at info@kidsgottaplay.com.
If you cannot be present during the installation, please let us know and:
- Mark the specific location in your yard where you would like the playset to be built.
- Indicate the direction of each feature.
- Provide a phone number at which you can be contacted during installation if any questions should arise.
Additional charges will be applied if:
- Your yard is not ready (including but not limited to: unlevel, muddy, new sod)for installation upon arrival of our crew on your confirmed date.
- Extended parts are needed to make the playset level and we were not previously informed of the situation.
- You ask us to re-position and/or move the set in the yard (after it’s already assembled and leveled).
- You ask us to re-position features on the set after install is completed

Basketball Hoops
BASKETBALL HOOP INSTALLATION CHECKLIST
Kids Gotta Play will submit the utility marking request to the appropriate state on-line site to have the yard marked to show any underground utility lines such as water, sewer, electric, gas, cable, etc. The utility companies usually complete their markings within approximately 3 – 7 working days from when order is submitted. Kids Gotta Play will NOT dig the ground anchor hole, or schedule the installation date, until ALL the utilities have been indicated to us as MARKED or CLEAR.
All Basketball Hoop Installations Are a 3-Step Process:
1.
Submit DIGRITE and mark area.
2.
Dig and set anchor system (Let concrete cure for 4-7 days weather permitting)
3.
Come back and install goal on anchor system.
**IMPORTANT: FOR ALL LINES, Cable, Electric, Water Utilites, from any main junction to the home that are MISSED by the utility companies: PLUS, sprinkler systems, invisible dog fences, drainage lines, low voltage lines or any customer-installed lines that WILL NOT be marked by Digrite, Dream Play Recreation and our Installation Crews WILL NOT be responsible for any damages the may occur when digging. Please Be prepared to relocate goal install location, relocate lines or repair these items if the need arises.
*Please note: *Per Dig Rite: MOST WATER LINES FROM STREET TO HOME ARE NOT MARKED DUE TO IT BEING A CUSTOMER/PRIVATE LINE AND IS CUSTOMERS PRESPOSIBLITY TO MAINTAIN AND KNOW LOCATION
*The Location of the hole for the anchor is dependent on the utility marking and the guidance of the homeowner. We recommend marking the location with a flag or stake where you would like the hole for the anchor to be CENTERED on. OUr customers should be present for the anchor placement if possible. The Hole will be 14″-18″ in Diameter and 4′ Deep. The location you select MUST BE 26″MIN CLEAR of ALL Utilities that have been marked and any other obstruction above and below the ground.
*** KIDS GOTTA PLAY WILL NOT DIG WITHIN 26″ IN OF EITHER SIDE OF THE MARKED AREAS***
Please complete the following form at least a week prior to your basketball hoop installation date.
SCHEDULING FOR BASKETBALL HOOP INSTALL
Your order will indicate when your basketball hoop will be available. We will do everything within our capabilities to meet a requested installation date, however, scheduling is subject to weather delays and occasional inventory delays.
- Scheduling is done on a weekly basis with priority determined by order date and order #.
- At the end of each week, we will begin to schedule installations for the following week. We will call you and confirm the DIG and installation of the Anchor System with an approximate time and date once “DigRite” has been to your home and marked the underground utilities.
- After anchor is set and completed, we will then contact you to confirm date and timeframe when we will back to install the goal on the anchor system
When you receive our call to confirm an installation date, be prepared to confirm the following:
- Date of installation & approximate time (usually morning or afternoon within a 4 hour timeframe).
- DigRite has marked the area and you have placed a stake in the ground for the center of anchor location.
- Payment method for balance due, if applicable.
Also, please be prepared for the arrival of our installation crew by:
- Having any pets secured and the installation area clean of pet waste.
- Being present at the beginning of the installation to confirm your anchor/goal location.
If weather conditions or any other situation arises that may prohibit our installation crew from digging or building your goal on the confirmed date, you will be notified and then contacted to reschedule for the FOLLOWING WEEK! If any other situation should arise that would cause us to be unable to build your goal, please contact Kids Gotta Play immediately during showroom hours at 248.486.5300 or after hours at info@kidsgottaplay.com.
If you cannot be present during the installation, please let us know and:

Trampolines
SPRINGFREE TRAMPOLINE INSTALLATION
Springfree Trampolines are free standing. Please note our installation process does not include digging or leveling. Springfree trampolines weigh between 275 – 350 pounds depending on the year and model. Most yards do not require any additional anchoring. However, if you live in a high wind area or are concerned about excessive wind, Springfree does offer an anchor system option. Please ask a sales associate for details and cost.
SCHEDULING FOR SPRINGFREE TRAMPOLINE INSTALL
Your order will indicate when your trampoline will be available. We will do everything within our capabilities to meet a requested installation date, however, scheduling is subject to weather delays and occasional inventory delays.
- Scheduling is done on a weekly basis with priority determined by order date and order #.
- At the end of each week, we will begin to schedule installations for the following week. We will call you and confirm the installation date along with an approximate window of time.
If weather conditions or any other situation arises that may prohibit our installation crew from installing your trampoline on the confirmed date, you will be notified and then contacted to reschedule for the FOLLOWING WEEK!
